Is it really free?
Yes. Joining is free, the draw is free to enter, and the free entry route has identical odds — no purchase necessary. A paid upgrade with extra perks will come soon.
What happens to my rent money?
It never touches us. A licensed payment partner moves it straight from your bank to your landlord's — we don't receive it, hold it, or forward it. We can't. Area just gets confirmation you paid on time.
Does my landlord have to do anything?
Nothing. They receive a normal bank transfer, exactly as before. No app, no sign-up. Your contract doesn't change.
Is the draw rigged?
No — it's provably fair. We publish a sealed cryptographic commitment before each draw and reveal it after, so anyone can independently verify the winner. Winners are published every month.
Why only Lisbon?
Renting is a local fight — different landlords, laws and rip-offs in every city. Spread thin, a club helps no one. So we go deep before wide: get Lisbon genuinely working, then Porto, Madrid and the rest.
What if I miss a payment?
Nothing bad happens — you just miss that month's entry. Area never reports you or shares anything negative. We only ever build proof of the good.
